Find out more about promoting and developing better Work Life Balance in the workplace.

Achieving an effective Work Life Balance (WLB) is increasingly recognised as making a positive contribution to worker well-being and company productivity.

This Forum aims to facilitate the promotion of Work Life Balance (WLB) for workers across Europe. It builds on the work of the transnational project, Eurobalance , that involved partners from Denmark, Greece, Italy, Poland, and the UK and was designed to promote training opportunities for work life balance in SMEs.

The Forum is maintained by the project lead partner, OAKE EUROPE, with support from other original project partners.

The Forum is designed to:

  • Extend the network created during the Eurobalance project to include people, and organisations from other countries, cultures and sectors.
  • Extend the initial processes and tools developed for promoting WLB to encompass other promotional strategies and good practice, and disseminate information from across Europe.
  • Promote and support research on, and development of, WLB issues.
  • Provide opportunities for those interested to learn about funding opportunities for WLB and identify potential projects and partners.
  • Have the potential to promote WLB nationally and at a European level.

The Forum provides:

  • Information about: WLB Projects; policy and other initiatives at EU level; WLB Documents and tools, and possible funding sources.

And, for 'registered participants',

  • Opportunities to: discuss WLB issues; contribute new information, documents, etc.; and receive  the latest news on WLB issues forthcoming events, etc., via e-mails and e-Newsletters.

Participation in the Forum is open to all including organisations/actors such as: Eurobalance partners and champions; participants in other WLB projects and initiatives; employers and employer organisations; workers representatives and trade unions; NGOs at EU, national and local levels; EU institutions; and national agencies/government departments.
